Who We Are:
Ken and Lorri Eash, of Mount Vernon, OH, have been involved in the music and puppet ministry for many years. They are both retired teachers: Ken at the high school level and Lorri the elementary level. They have four children of their own. This year they are celebrating 53 years of marriage. Ken has been in the music ministry for all of his teen and adult years. He has been a part of the Helmsmen Gospel Music Ministry Team since it began in 1969 in Illinois, continued in Upstate New York, then in South-West Michigan, and now in Ohio.
When their children were young, Ken & Lorri traveled with their children in a weekend and summer family music & puppet ministry. Now each of their children are married and Ken & Lorri have 13 grandchildren!
Now with their children out on their own in various ministries, Ken & Lorri continue to hold numerous special services, Vacation Bible School programs, and week-long camps each year in churches and at campgrounds throughout the country.
They were on staff as children’s pastors at Endicott Church of the Nazarene in Endicott, NY for 5 years part-time while they were preparing for full-time children’s ministry. Then in 2007 they were hired at Sturgis Church of the Nazarene, Sturgis, MI for 7 years as Pastors to Families with Children. They both are ordained deacons in the Church of the Nazarene: Ken in Music Ministry, and Lorri in Christian Education. Ken is also currently a Registered Song Evangelist.
By using lively music, colorful puppets, and interesting Bible stories, they are able to hold an interesting and exciting program for children, and adults, to participate in; and while they learn many Bible truths.
Their ultimate goal in ministry is to have each person, child and adult, accept Jesus Christ as his/her own personal Savior and Lord; and to grow closer to Him.
They are available to minister in part of a service, hold a complete service, or hold a series of services (VBS, camp, or weekend crusade), depending on your needs and desire.
Ken & Lorri love Jesus, and they love people, especially kids. If you feel you can use them to minister to the children and families in your church, or be of assistance to your teachers, volunteers, and church leaders, don’t hesitate to contact them.
